As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic Fleet Management Lead to join our team and contribute to the management and optimization of our vehicle fleet. 

As a Fleet Management Lead here at Flexcar, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and profitability of our vehicle fleet operations. You will work closely with the Field Operations Management Team to acquire vehicles from our partners, monitor depreciation costs, and manage the wholesale and disposal process for unprofitable inventory.  

What You’ll Do:  

Vehicle Acquisition: 

  • Collaborate with our partners to acquire new vehicles for our fleet. 

  • Ensure the timely delivery of vehicles according to demand forecasts and inventory needs. 

  • Coordinate transport of vehicle intra-market and inter-market as needed. 

Depreciation Monitoring: 

  • Track and analyze depreciation costs for each vehicle in the fleet. 

  • Identify trends and factors impacting vehicle depreciation rates. 

  • Implement strategies to minimize depreciation and maximize asset value. 

  • Make recommendations on vehicles to defleet based on depreciation costs in conjunction with the finance team. 

Fleet Optimization: 

  • Work with the Flexcar Field Operations Management Team to develop and implement strategies for fleet optimization. 

  • Conduct regular assessments of fleet performance and utilization metrics. 

  • Recommend adjustments to fleet composition, including additions, removals, and replacements, based on data-driven insights. 

Wholesale and Disposal: 

  • Manage the wholesale and disposal process for unprofitable and salvage inventory. 

  • Evaluate vehicles for resale and determine appropriate pricing strategies to sell vehicles at the optimal place in their depreciation curve. 

  • Coordinate with our partner sales teams or third-party vendors to sell vehicles efficiently and maximize returns. 

Compliance and Documentation: 

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies related to fleet management. 

  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle acquisition, depreciation, sales, and disposal activities. 

  • Prepare reports and documentation as needed for internal stakeholders and regulatory authorities.

What Drives Success for this Role:    

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, or a related field (preferred). 

  • 2+  years experience in fleet management, automotive industry, or related fields (preferred). 

  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to build effective partnerships with suppliers and vendors. 

  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. 

  • Knowledge of vehicle depreciation factors, wholesale markets, and regulatory requirements is a plus.

Compensation Range: $58,500 - $65,000 USD Annually
