Flexcar is completely reimagining car ownership. We offer the world’s first month-to-month car lease, with insurance and maintenance included. Members can swap cars anytime as their needs change, without the commitment or hassle of traditional car ownership. By combining operational expertise with technology, data, and AI, we’re transforming every aspect of the customer journey and delivering a more affordable, flexible, and hassle-free alternative to buying or leasing.

As Performance Marketing Lead, you will drive strategy, execution, and optimization across Flexcar’s paid acquisition channels, with increasing ownership over budget, pacing, and P&L accountability as scope and experience warrant, constantly reallocating dollars to the highest‑ROI opportunities to drive sustainable member growth at an efficient blended CAC. You’ll partner closely with Finance, Risk, Operations, Care, and Brand to ensure every marketing dollar accelerates Flexcar’s long‑term growth goals.
You'll be joining a high-performing marketing team during an exciting inflection point. Our paid acquisition channels are driving strong growth, and this role will scale spend strategically as Flexcar expands into new geographic markets. You'll inherit performing campaigns and proven playbooks, optimizing and expanding from a position of strength.

 Key Responsibilities
  • Channel Ownership & Strategy
    • Set the holistic paid‑media strategy, leveraging all channels—from mass reach media (e.g., TV, billboards, podcasts) to precision digital buys (e.g., paid social, paid search, programmatic)—to maximize incremental orders and LTV‑to‑CAC.
    • Partner with creative teams to concept, test, and scale innovative ad creative that breaks through crowded channels and improves marginal ROI.
    • Continuously re‑forecast and re‑allocate spend based on marginal ROI, saturation curves, seasonality, and inventory dynamics.
    • Lead quarterly spend planning and pacing, adjusting monthly to hit CAC and volume goals.

  • Measurement & Optimization
    • Develop and maintain a unified KPI dashboard providing real-time visibility into channel performance.
    • Establish rigorous incrementality testing programs and continually refine attribution models (server-side attribution, Marketing Mix Modeling).
    • Leverage deep analytical expertise (SQL, regression analysis, advanced Excel) to uncover insights and improve marketing efficiency.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration
    • Closely partner with Finance on forecasting, budgeting, and spend optimization.
    • Align closely with Risk and Operations to maximize customer lifetime value.
    • Collaborate with Brand Marketing & Partnerships to ensure cohesive, effective messaging and strategic alignment.

  • Team & Vendor Management
    • Report to the VP of Marketing with 0-1 direct reports initially, and opportunity to build the team as spend scales.
    • Own paid marketing channels, systematically capturing and transferring best practices, processes, and data internally.
    • Evaluate, select, and manage external vendors and freelancers as needed to complement internal capabilities.
Qualifications
  • Experience
    • 5+ years of proven experience leading full‑funnel marketing at high-growth, consumer-facing companies.
    • Demonstrated success managing and scaling paid media budgets ($300K+ monthly), with experience operating in or scaling toward seven-figure monthly spend environments.

  • Technical & Analytical Skills
    • Expert-level proficiency in digital analytics (e.g., Sigma, FullStory, etc.), SQL querying, Excel modeling, and regression analysis.
    • Extensive hands-on experience with server-side tagging, conversion APIs (Meta, TikTok, Google), and advanced attribution methods, including MMM and incrementality testing.

  • Business Acumen
    • Proven experience owning channel-level P&Ls, comfortable with financial modeling and performance forecasting.
    • Deep understanding of customer lifetime value (LTV), cost per acquisition (CAC), and profitability metrics; able to communicate trade‑offs clearly to executives.

  • Leadership & Collaboration
    • Outstanding cross-functional collaboration skills; comfortable communicating strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders.
    • Prior experience building or growing an internal marketing team and managing marketing operations
  • Nice to Have
    • Experience in subscription, automotive, or high-consideration consumer businesses
    • Background in geographic expansion or multi-market launches
    • Prior experience marketing inventory-constrained products
* Actual compensation will be determined based on level, geographic location, and job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market conditions.
