Key Responsibilities

Employee Relations & Compliance

Benefits Administration

  • Administer and coordinate all employee benefit programs, including health, life, personal accident, and pension plans.

  • Lead the annual health insurance renewal process: manage vendor engagement, employee education, and plan implementation.

  • Ensure accurate and timely enrollment, changes, and termination of benefit coverage; maintain up-to-date employee and dependent data.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefit questions and claims resolution.

Recruiting & Onboarding

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for local roles: draft job descriptions, post openings, screen candidates, and coordinate interviews with hiring managers.

  • Liaise with external recruiters or job boards as needed to attract top talent.

  • Ensure a seamless onboarding experience: schedule orientation sessions and guide new hires through benefits enrollment and company policies.

  • Partner with managers to create onboarding plans that accelerate productivity and cultural integration.

  • Maintain talent pipelines for future hiring needs and provide insight into local talent market trends.

Employee Engagement & Internal Programs

  • Manage vendor relationships for in-house medical services, gym memberships, uniform programs, and employee transportation.

  • Coordinate employee onboarding and deliver benefit orientation for new hires.

  • Support company-wide recognition programs, blood drives, tuition assistance, and other internal initiatives.

Payroll Coordination

  • Liaise with payroll vendor and Finance team to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.

  • Review time and attendance reports via Rippling; flag discrepancies and ensure all changes are captured for each payroll cycle.

  • Ensure compliance with local payroll regulations, statutory deductions, and reporting.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 3–5 years of HR experience with demonstrated expertise in employee relations, benefits administration, and payroll coordination.

  • Strong working knowledge of Jamaican labour laws and HR compliance practices.

  • Hands-on experience with HRIS and time-tracking systems (Rippling preferred) and Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to interact effectively at all levels.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and resolve conflict.

  • Demonstrated ability to plan and execute employee programs and events.

What You Bring

  • A problem-solver mindset with sound judgment, discretion, and empathy.

  • Confidence to lead conversations and initiatives while balancing operational detail with people-first thinking.

  • High level of ownership and ability to work independently while collaborating with remote teams.

  • Comfort with change and a proactive approach to building culture and process in a growing environment.
